Welcome to the Ross buildings website, My name is Michael Ross and I have been in the building trade for more than 25 years. I first became interested in construction work in my childhood, as I watched my grandfather work with timber in his shed.
My love affair with wood and making things with my hands never left me and so in 1996, I became a qualified furniture maker and a master carpenter in 2001. The problem was that these trades didn't completely satisfy me, because I didn't want to just make single pieces of furniture, I wanted to be part of something much bigger.
In the end, I realised that construction was where I wanted to be, so I segwayed into the building trade, becoming a master builder in 2009. This gave me the knowledge and the skills to put together my own building business in Wellington New Zealand.
